Nebojsa Vasic was
born on 9th May 1965 in Kosovska Mitrovica. He graduated
from the Novi Sad Academy of Arts in 1989 at the class
of professor Dusan Todorovic. He has lived in Sombor
since 1991.
He had his first one-man
exhibition as a student in 1986 in his native town Zvečan
("Academy Works Exhibition"). After several
collective exhibitions, as well as the Triennial of
Yugoslav Drawings in 1990, the first serious one-man
show, held in Sombor came under the title "TO THE HOLLY LAND KNIGHTS".
He then took part in the Biennale of Yugoslav drawings
in Sombor in 1993 and 1995. The exhibition in the "Arkade"
gallery in Budva, in July 1994 was named "MOTIFS FROM KOSOVO".
After that one-man exhibitions were held in Belgrade
(The SKC gallery - May 1998), Sombor (The KC "Laza
Kostić" gallery - June 1998) and Novi Sad (The
Open University Gallery - November 1998) - under the
name "MAGNETIC DREAM FIELD
TRAVELLING".
He
introduced his new painting "DREAMS AND MEMORIES"
to Sombor (The KC "LAZA KOSTIĆ" Gallery - May 2005), Belgrade
( Jovan Kolundžija Fine Arts Centre "GUARNERIUS",
May 2005) and Apatin (The "Meander" Gallery,
October 2005).
Nebojsa Vasic is an
active member of SULUV since 1998.
